Attached House in Oranienburg with River View

Where Prince-Electors Used to Reside: Oranienburg North of Berlin

The attractively designed houses are being developed as terraced properties in two building rows of seven houses each on building sites created by way of de-jure partitions. The terrain is slightly sloped, descending from the patios to the riverbank. The plot is separated from the public greenway along the River Havel by a discreet low hedge.

Each house comes with a private little garden section that is the owners’ to landscape any way they please. The plot area of the end houses varies from just over 400 square metres to the roughly 630 square metres of the northern-most plot at Neckarstrasse 20. The side where the entrances of these modern family homes are located features small front yards and a car parking spot each. Every house has a second private parking spot that, depending on the house type, lies either directly next to the building or across the street.

Modern Attached House with Private Garden, Perfect for Families

The floor area of around 170 square metres is spread across three floors and divides into five bedrooms, a tub-and-shower-equipped bathroom, a guest WC, a store room and an M&E plant room that could optionally be converted into an extra shower room.

On the ground floor, the living room area of nearly 30 square metres offers many options for customising the interior design. Since it directly blends with the dining and kitchen areas, which contribute an extra 18 square metres, it is a great place for taking it easy with family and friends. Alternatively, there is the option to partition the kitchen off from the living room. The living rooms comes with direct access to the east-facing patio which gives way to a small private garden plot overlooking the river.

The three bedrooms on the second floor have a separate entrance. From here, you access the third floor with its gallery and one additional bedroom. This bedroom and the gallery open onto the highlight of the house: a roof terrace of around 30 square metres that is screened from the neighbouring buildings and faces both east and west, so that residents may enjoy morning and evening sun alike. The end houses come with extra windows on the exterior walls that admit plenty of light into the living rooms and into the upstairs rooms as well. The south-facing end houses—Neckarstrasse 7 and 14—have an unobstructed view from the roof terraces in three directions: east, south and west.

The different fit-out variants permit bespoke interior design choices for each house. For instance, bathrooms may be fitted out with neat branded fittings or exclusive designer elements. Several different materials and qualities are available for floor coverings. You can also choose among various types of parquetry. The triple-glazed windows ensure that the heat loss stays low. Low energy costs are among the signature features of contemporary housing constructions and meet the high standards of modern living requirements.
